This post originally appeared on my Paper Swallow Events blog. I've been divvying up my personal and business blogging, so I'm transferring the personal posts over to this site.
Hello lovelies! How is your month going? I thought it would be fun to start doing a mid-month, more personalized post to update you on my life and just give you a peek at some things going on that you might never know otherwise. Sound fun? I hope so!
The trees are beginning to turn colors and the air is getting crisp. I'm not a big lover of cold weather, but I adore the Fall. Growing up in California the trees never really changed colors, so that's one of my favorite parts of living in the South. Plus, I love the shorts + tights + boots look and plan on wearing a variation of that until the weather makes me stop!
I adore making paper flowers and I've been doing a ton of that recently for one of my brides. She came to visit this past week and we had a blast chatting and wedding planning/crafting!
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I've always wanted to throw a huge costume party, but Fall is usually a crazy busy time for me. I dressed up to hand out candy for years (after my neighbors told 12-year-old me that I was too old to trick or treat), but no kids come by our current apartment. This year I'll probably just watch a mildly scary movie with Michael. Any recommendations? (I don't do paranormal.)
Talking about scary movies always makes me think of the time I was in high school and decided to watch The Sixth Sense while home alone without knowing what it was about. (Remember, I don't do paranormal.) My mom came home in the middle of the movie and scared the living daylights out of me. Good times!
I've been on a musicals kick recently. Currently I have Guys & Dolls stuck in my head. Recently I've been listening to Barbara sing Don't Rain on My Parade and/or Linda Eder sing I Am What I Am to pump myself up during my afternoon lull. What do you listen to during your afternoon lull?
Michael + I got a package a couple weeks ago and I have yet to throw the box away because Max has made it his new bed. It's a little obnoxiously large in our living room but Max looks so happy I can't bring myself to throw it away! #animalloverproblems
I've been working on my 100 Rejection Letters project. It's scary and SO EXCITING. This adventure is going to be a grand one!
I've started watching the show Forever and have really been enjoying it! I'm hoping this show keeps up the good work. What is a show you've been enjoying recently?
What about you? What has been going on in your life recently?
Hello, I'm Stacia!
