Hello March! Boy was I ready for you to arrive!
February was a wonderful but hectic month in Michael's and my household. Max had surgery, our heater had issues, we overbooked ourselves, and then I closed out the month with some kind of sick bug that is still hanging on. Of course, the good moments, dinners out with friends, a visit from my family, and a couple date nights, were really wonderful. It all just felt a little too rushed for my taste.
I love sharing monthly favorites partially because I love reading about what other people are loving at the moment (it's a unique insight into what they've been doing and thinking about recently.) I also like using these favorites as an excuse to look back and examine what's been going on in my life over the past month. With how hectic this past month was, it's no wonder to me why most of my favorite items are clothing related - I didn't have time to think about non-necessary things. How do your favorite change every month based off of what's going on in your life at the time?
Kimchi Blue Dress - This dress is so soft and cozy! I've wanted to pull it out and wear it any time I go anywhere.
The Blair Studs (c/o) - I'm not the best at remembering to wear jewelry outside of my wedding bands (though I have been getting better as I discover styles of jewelry that work better for my life.) One piece of jewelry that I do pull out often, however, are earrings. I have loved this elegant pair of sparkly studs all month and love pairing them with all of my outfits - from casual to dressy.
Minimalist Triangle Diffuser Necklace - I purchased this necklace at the Charleston City Market at the beginning of this month and have loved wearing it ever since! It's minimal so it goes with almost everything I own, and I love that I can use it as a diffuser.
Lavender Essential Oil - I haven't bought into the essential oil craze to the extent that a lot of people I know how, but I do really enjoy their scents. I own a bottle of lavender essential oil and have enjoyed putting a drop of it on my diffuser necklace to offer me a pleasant scent throughout the day.
Nail Polish - I've been adoring this particular shade of O.P.I. nail polish lately. Unfortunately, it's no longer available to purchase. A couple good alternatives are: Nars, Essie, China Glaze, Sally Hansen.)
Minnetonka Moccasins - What can I say, these boots are really fun to wear.
"Hello Sweetie" Shirt - Chances are, if I wasn't wearing that yellow dress, I was wearing my Jordandene "Hello Sweetie" shirt. Jordandene's shirts are so soft + comfortable which always launches them to the top of my list of shirts I love to wear.
Burgundy Tights - I own and wear a lot of black/grey, especially during the winter. These tights have been a fun, yet still mellow pop of color with a lot of my winter outfits. Worried about being too cold? Wear them over your favorite pair of fleece leggings! haha
Sweatpants - Confession: I've never actually owned a pair of sweatpants until this month. Our heater was broken for a little while this month, and I needed something more comfortable than jeans to work on some projects on the floor in, so I snagged a pair one day while we were out. I wear them all the time when I'm working from home now.
Basico - Michael + I have been adoring this restaurant lately! If you go, we recommend any of the tacos or the Basico bowl. Both options are delicious.
What are some things that you've been loving lately?
