For the longest time I wasn't a big fan of using bar soaps - liquid soaps were always my preference. This was mostly because the bar soaps I'd used in the past have always left a mess of soap mush wherever the rest, and they always left my skin feeling stripped of moisture.
This was before I dug in and learned a lot more about artisan soap companies and what goes in to their soaps. As much as I dye my hair, I do try to limit the amount of chemicals I use, particularly with my skincare. After learning more about artisan soaps, I decided to buy some bar soap containers and give them a try.
When I was working the Charleston Coffee Cup least year, I had the pleasure of meeting the owners of Ninja Warrior Coffee Roasters. They were the absolute sweetest, so easy to talk to, and incredibly passionate about their coffees. Not to mention that their logo is so fun!
I'm still not the biggest coffee drinker (though I have found some that I will drink lately), but I do love the smell. The delicious smell of Ninja Warrior Coffee Roasters' body scrub and bar soaps definitely drew me in. They smell so scrumptious!
I ended up purchasing their Daily Grind bar soap for myself, my mom, and my sister. I was really excited to give it a try and intrigued because the bars are infused with both coffee and coffee grounds from Ninja Warrior Coffee Roasters.
Over the past couple months, I've been using this soap when I shower. The first thing I notice is the energizing scent. It just wakes you up! The soap forms a rich, luxurious lather and doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped or deprived moisture when I'm done showering.
One to thing to note about this soap is that due to the presence of coffee grounds, it is very exfoliating. The grounds are bigger and can feel rougher than other exfoliating scrubs. I wouldn't recommend this to people who don't enjoy exfoliating scrubs. However, I do really enjoy it and will definitely purchase some more.
Do you love or hate bar soap? What brand do you enjoy?
