Maybe I'm just super nosy, but I love knowing what other people are currently enjoying. Monthly favorites videos have always been some of my favorites to watch on YouTube, and I love it when blogger friends do little round ups. In my opinion, monthly favorites are a fun way to get to know a bit about what's been going on behind the scenes in people's lives - things that maybe aren't worth an entire blog post to themselves. That's one reason why I like sharing mine with you. So here's to all you other nosy people out there! ;) My New Faux Taxidermy Fox Baby* I have a deep rooted love for faux taxidermy but I rarely justify the price - especially since our apartment has funny rules about how we can hang things on the wall and most of the taxidermy I fall in love with is too big and too heavy. So when I found this little baby at Target (ON SALE, too!), Michael knew immediately that we were coming home with it. This guy makes me so irrationally happy and he really needs a name. Any suggestions? *Entertaining Fact: Everything cute that also happens to be living or resembling something living is a baby with me; baby cats, baby puppies, baby faux taxidermy, baby succulents, baby pumpkins, etc. I don't know when I started calling them by this name, but the usage definitely increased during October as I apparently collected ALL the "baby" things. (But none of them have anything to do with an actual human child.) Baby Pumpkins! It wouldn't be October without pumpkins, right?! I can't get enough. I would so much rather Michael brought me home a pumpkin than a flower. Defy & Inspire Nail Polish in Gauntlet I discovered this brand at Target recently and was really excited to try it - I love when I can find a 5-free polish at a store that's part of my normal routine instead of either needing to get it online or go to a health food store. (I love those, but they aren't located as close to me.) This is the perfect deep but not too dark grey color. As I type this I'm on day 7 of wear with my current mani and most of my nails are holding on strong (and I can't blame the other nails because we did some deep house cleaning yesterday.) I will definitely be expanding my collection of these polishes! The Tea Nation Blueberry White Tea Whether it's summer or winter, I love tea. During the summer I'll keep ice tea in our fridge, but lately I've been able to decide between warm or cool tea, which has been nice. This blueberry white tea smells wonderful and tastes delightful, so I've been reaching for it a lot recently. Minnetonka Moccasins I may have a slight love affair with this shoe. Since they're so warm, I don't wear them much during the summer, but as soon as it starts to get cool they come right back out of my wardrobe. They're pieces I've collected over time (Christmas and birthdays, mostly), and I can't get enough. Hands down, they're the most comfortable shoes I have. This Photo Shoot with My Friend Amy of A Love Photography Amy and I had so much fun putting together this Ariel-Inspired Halloween photoshoot. I love the images she captured and enjoyed embracing my inner Princess of the Sea. (Plus, the expressions on the faces of a couple kids we came across were rather priceless. They weren't quite sure what to make of my makeup. haha!) A Few Things I Don't Have Photos Of: - We're getting a new brother! One of Michael's sisters got engaged this past month and we are so, SO excited for them! Michael and I adore them together and are so excited to see them enter this new stage of life. Plus, I'm loving helping them plan their wedding! - Dokapon Kingdom. Recently Michael hooked his PS2 up to our TV and we've been enjoying finding some fun used games. This game is multiplayer and plays out like a boardgame. We've enjoyed playing together a few times in the evenings and ganging up against the computer characters. What are some of your favorites from the month of October? Is there anything you're looking forward to in November? xoxo, Stacia P.S. You can see my other monthly favorites posts here.
