Taking Christmas photos every year with our tripod and a self timer (or camera remote) has been one of my favorite traditions. We have photos from our first married Christmas all the way through to this past year, and it's fun to see how much we've changed yet stayed the same. Adding Khaleesi to the crew this year definitely upped the challenge level of getting a good photo of all of us...we settled for a realistic one.
Khaleesi has brought so much humor and quirk into our little family. She has more personality than her (very tall) body can handle. It's been a delight to see her really come out of her shell since the day we adopted her. She thinks Max is the coolest thing since sliced bread, but she's not always as calm as Max needs her to be in order for a true friendship to be formed. We're working hard with her on helping this relationship be a good one, but it's hard to harness her energy.
As shown in the photos, her adoration runs deep and all she wants is a chance to be close to him. Max, however, is much less enthusiastic about the friendship. Haha. He's very enthusiastic about cat treats, though, so his life isn't all bad. ;)
Do you take family Christmas photos every year? What kind do you settle for? "Picture perfect" or realistic?
